Next, to Jerry Bear and the rest of the Resorts staff who treated us
well! The hotel room was more than acceptable (and a bargain at
that!), and the poker room staff did an outstanding job in running
the tournaments. Along with a few others, I'm sure, I too would
like some "names and addresses" for Resorts folks to whom I could
send my personal thanks for the hospitality they showed to us during
the 2 1/2 days we were there. I truly hope that these folks were
sufficiently impressed (and compensated!) that they'll want to have
us back again next year. Let's all let them know that, in addition to
the tournament entry fees they collected, we helped them "drop" some
$'s at the poker tables during the pot-limit and other ring games, as
well as wagered (and lost? won?) $'s at BJ, craps, etc. out there in
the main casino.
And finally, to each and every one of you who attended and made this
(for me, at least) a memorable occasion! I finally got a chance to
put some faces on those names (and email address).
Oh,... and a couple or three more! To "davles" (the masculine half at
least), for taking notes during MATS '96 (the TARGET satellite on Fri.
night). And to Tiger for his job at capturing every big hand, showdowns
of importance, winning (and losing) PRESTO's, suck-out's, etc. during
the NL Hold'em tourney on Saturday. And lastly, to Peter Secor, who so
unselfishly :) "volunteered" to do the same during the Limit Stud event
on Sunday. I'm really looking forward to reading all about each of
these events,... as I really can't remember a thing that happened
during the course of play :)
