A later start would be nice, but we have to remember that we are
getting the tables at a cheap rate. I estimate we got about 20 hours
of table time for the hold'em tournament for a $540 fee. I expect
they drop at least 3 or 4 times this rate from a ring game.
Touraments are really a loss leader for the room -- they hope to make
money on the ring games as the tourney breaks up (BTW, I think we more
than fulfilled this expectation). However, we can't expect them to
start the tourney so late that they have to break up a going ring game
to give us a table (this will be even more of a problem if we grow
substantially next yeat). So, Art, if you have trouble getting up for
a 10AM tourney, try following my lead and just play all night :-).
