Karen is definatly a stronger player than Jessie. i was in the 9 seat when
she was in the 8 seat (thank god, saved me a bunch of cash). Someone came
over to the table and mentioned that she had been barred from the taj
recently, she said this was a better game anyway. I asked why she had been
barred, She said something about berating a floorman, but I did not really
buy that. As far as colluding the only thing I really saw them do a few
times was check it down when they were the only ones left. Saw her check
down Ace flush with no pair on board to Jessie once. If thats the worst of
it then no big deal. Although the AA KK hand does appear a bit odd. That
does not sound like a lack of knowledge about pot limit, It sounds like a
great read (?).
Unfortunatly the only time I played with both of them was when Jessie was
asleep (or at least he sure looked asleep). Even though she was a tough
player she probably helped my game, she forced me to toss marginal drawing
hands away. I think I only ended up heads up twice with her she folded both
times (I think I was playing like a rock so she figured me for the nuts.
Once she was right and once wrong).
i used to card count, and the way she played with her chips could have
mirrored some sort of signaling method. She had a pyramid of chips (about
$1600 in Reds) and kept moving a stack on and of the pyramid, Once when I
asked her for change for a couple of Blacks she barked no without a second
thought. Does this mean that she needed her chips for signaling, or just
that she liked the factor of having a monster stack to bully the table, I
lean towards the latter (I Remember one hand were she played pocket 8's
head up against obvius rockets, and flopped a set to beat the all in A's. I
don't know If a short stack would do the same).
Anyway did anybody else hear her talking about being Barred from the taj?
Was it just a jke? If Not why was she barred? id it really likely that she
was barred for insluting a floorman? that I doubt.
