The first time I ever played with them was in a 10-20 at the Taj. There
were 3 or 4 tables going and they both requested a table change to be at
the same table. In the 7 hours I played with them they were involved in
the same hand Once. It just seems to me that a little best hand type of
signalling might have been going on. No proof on that.
Next time was in the pink game at the Taj. Only a few hands of interest
there, but the one that stuck in my mind was where Jesse (in early
position) bets out at an AQx board, Karen (in late position) raises,
Jesse reraises, everyone else folds, Karen calls and takes the pot with
AJ. A guy whose name I can't remember (but he's one of the strongest
players at the 15-30, 20-40, and 30-60 limits) reaches past the dealer
and grabs Jesse's hand before it hits the muck and turns over K7s (no
pair no flush draw no backdoor flush draw). Seem a little suspicious.
After the game broke this guy (name might be Jack? Jake maybe? Been a
while, and I don't play 20-40 ya know) asked me if I had any suspicions
about Karen and Jesse. I told him about the first time I played with
them and thought it was real strange about that K7 hand. Anyway, he
asked me if I would talk to Tom Gitto about it, and I said yes. So he
and I talked to Tom, and later to the CCC. Neither were in any way
surprised about what we were saying, and both said they had heard it
before.
So when both the Taj poker room manager and a rep from the CCC say
they've heard allegations that they're cheating, what else am I supposed
to think? Tom Gitto said he was trying to have the Taj legal dept. okay
it for him to not let them play at the same game any longer, but he
didn't know if he would be successful.
Anyhow, maybe Tom was just telling me whatever I wanted to hear, or maybe
not. Maybe this is all a meaningless coincidence, I don't know. But I
will never EVER again play with both of them at my table.
YMMV.
