We will have two or three side tournaments this year (blackjack, craps
and possibly video poker). I would like to have a guru for event.
The major responsibility would be dealing with the casino contact to
make sure that things are run reasonably. The second responsibility
is telling everyone else what to expect. The qualities I need are
1. Experience with that type of tournament (or at least with the game
being played -- I'm clueless at craps).
2. Frequency of visits to AC (face-to-face dealings get things done
much more quickly, in my experience).
3. Good net access (so I can keep track of what's going on).
If you would like to take on the "guru" job for one or more, please
let me (*not* the whole mailing list) know by email no later than
12/28. If you don't want to/can't take on the responsibility, but do
have a clue about some of the "side" tournaments, let me know that so I
can use you as a resource if I can't find a guru.
