Re Jeremy Miller's posting on Tropicana comps ...

Foxwoods also lets you use your comps for a room. And they
discount the room by about 1/3 to comp users. I'm not certain
but I believe the room rate at the delightful Two Trees Inn ... a
quiet motor-hotel just a 5-minute jitney ride from the casino
(jitney, free, runs every 15 minutes 24 hours a day) ... is
$135 (rack rate) and $85 (comp rate). You can get two
double beds, so consenting adults can put 4 people into a
room with no hassle.

Only trouble is Foxwoods poker comps are on the cheap
side: Ask for a WAMPUM CARD which you give to the
floorperson when you are seated and you begin to accumulate
only 50 cents for an hour's play at any game up to a $10 limit.
Higher limits earn higher "points" but, unless you are into
a $50-100 game, they aren't that great.

EXAMPLE: A good friend plays $5-10 Hold'em every Monday
for about 10 hours. Recently he took the wife & me to a superb
dinner at Foxwoods' CEDARS Restaurant and the bill came to
$240 for the 4 of us. It cost him AN ENTIRE YEAR's comps
(480 hours at his game) to do this.

COMPARISON: Last year I was with my son at Trump's
Castle in AC. I play the quarter Blackjack table for about
4 hours, ask for a dinner comp, and get an unlimited dinner
comp ($40 max on wine; everything else "all you can eat or
drink") in their excellent steak house ... with menu prices
about the same as FOXWOODS "Cedars".
