Hey poker fans.......I played in a $85 buy-in Poty Limit Holdem
Tournament yesterday. It was my first Pot limit anything let alone
tournament. They had 67 entrants and paid top ten spots. I finished 12th
and got "gotz". The reason I write this is I'm looking for advise on the
hand that bounced me from action. At the time of the hand I had $1700
tourney chips and was in approximately 9th or tenth place (total chip
count). I was not trying to go all in except if I could double through.
The problem is I did and lost.

In a minute I will set the scenario and would like to know your thoughts
on this hand, my play and advise or kudos that you may feel appropriate.

I was in middle position the blinds were 200/100 there were two callers
to me and I raised it up 500. I had QJs. Everyone folded to the button
and he called and the blinds left. The fop was as follows:

10d, Jc, 8h

With no raise from the button before the flop, now with top pair and one
over card and not much cash left I bet 500 and the button calls. The
turn mad the board look like this:

10d, Jc, 8h, Qd

With top two pair and a gut shot I moved all in. The button (who had a
lot of chips and was killing the table by playing poorly and drawing out
often) called me. The River was a Ks, leaving the final board:

10d, Jc, 8h, Qs, Ks

The button turns a pair of Cowboys (Kh,Kd) giving him all the cash with
a set of Kings to my Queens up.

I tried to pick my spot with low chips and got rivered......did I get
what I deserved.....or is this a bad beat.......or what?

Help from everyone is welcomed while I lick my wounds. By the way, even
though I didn't cash this was the most exciting form of poker I've ever
played. Up to my final play I was all in four times, once with a pair of
aces and the man to my left also had a pair of aces. he had the heart
and on the turn the Qh came giving him a freeroll at me on the river.
Lucy for me he drew a blank. 24 hours later I'm still pumped and pissed.

Just needed to share this......thanks for listening.
