***Gentleman's Smoker Announcement***

Well friends, ATLARGE is approaching fast. We're only a little more than two
weeks away from the East's biggest and best poker excursion.

As most loyal attendees already know, a few of us have decided to "kick off"
ATLARGE with a semi-formal "Gentleman's Smoker." The dinner is to be held
the previous night to the first ATLARGE event. This means the dinner will
take place on Thursday evening, March 20th.

For those who replied by e-mail to my HoldemAces address, allow me to thank
you. From the responses I received, it seems we will have between 20-30
attendees at the gentleman's smoker (even more than attended the BARGE smoker
last year in Vegas!).

Tiger and Bruce Kramer have worked deligently with me in selecting what we
believed to be a location which would suit everyone. We took into
consideration several factors -- primarily which establishment had (1) the
best fare for the money, (2) the best beer selection, and (3) would be
willing to put up with clouds of cigar smoke and boisterous behavior.

And the winner is......THE BRIGHTON STEAKHOUSE.....located at the Sands
Casino-Hotel in Atlantic City.

Tiger has secured reservations for us -- for 20-30 persons at the Brighton.
Our dinner is scheduled for 8:00 pm. This means we can begin arriving at
7:45 or so.

I realize a few of you may be coming into town after work that Thursday --
and may arrive well after 8:00. This is fine, as we do not expect to have
everyone seated precisely at 8:00 pm. As the dinner will be a 2-3 hour
lavish affiar, we will most likely enjoy cocktails (a "seated reception," if
you will) for the first hour or so. This brings the ordering time to around
9:00 -- which gives latecomers the chance to arrive. In the event you come
in later that 9:00, you may still join the group for a nightcap.

Although it is not required that we dress up for the dinner, please note the
Brighton is an upscale restaurant. So thongs and NASCAR paraphenalia are
respectfully discouraged.

Finally, in the interest of keeping the charges simple -- it is requested
that you bring CASH to cover your portion of the meal/drinks. We will
operate on the "honors system" which means every person will be responsible
for keeping track of how much he or she spends.

At the conclusion of the meal, we will pass the bill around and collect money
from everyone -- sufficient to cover tax and the gratuity -- and pay in cash.
Again, I ask for the sake of the group and in the interest of fairness, that
everyone pay their proper share.

I think this is going to be a great way to start ATLARGE. Look forward to
seeing you there.
