If you hit the Cross Bronx and GWB before 7 am you will have no problem
90% of the time. The only problem is if you choose to take the Degan and the Corkscrew from the Degan to the Cross Bronx just below the GWB is
jammed your options become slim and none. In a worst case scenario such
as a accident which has the CB closed, you can get off and take the
back route thru downtown and come out just about above where the Degan
ramp hits the GWB. So make sure you check the local traffic reports,
and a CB radio is worth its weight in gold.
