hiya, folks!!
whew!! we're all set!! :)
i won't bore you with the details. i won't tell you what i went through. i
won't even tell you all about my near-herculanean efforts in your behalf....
hehehehehe....
but here's the scoop:
besides our group, the taj mahal steakhouse, "safari", will be hosting
another private party that evening. so, they've decided to open the
restaurant to the public, which means that we'll have a complete menu
(instead of the limited menu as had originally been offered to me). the menu
is reproduced below for your consideration. and the food is terrific! :)

the date: thursday, march 20
the time: dinner is at 8:30 pm. the bar in the lounge adjacent to the
restaurant opens at 6 pm.
the place: the safari steakhouse, located on the convention floor (2nd floor)
of the taj mahal (which is adjacent to resorts casino).

some notes:
1 please, please, *please* get back to me **asap**, so that i can get an
accurate count of those who will be there, those who might be there, and
those who just don't belong on this mailing list (blackhawk, are you
listening? ;) )
2 i've arranged to have us in a corner, so that those of you who wish to
indulge may smoke your cigars. i won't be joining you in this regard. there
was once a time when i inhaled various smouldering vegetable substances, but
that was long ago. i've learned that my body is a temple, and i worship it.
mostly, i worship it by making daily sacrifices to the great god maccallan,
and his archangels glenmorangie, oban, and usquebach, and their ministering
seraph, who bears the curious name "dewar's"........
3 we will be charged an additional 18% gratuity. just do it, folks. it
ain't worth fighting.
4 you don't have to make your meal selection, now....just tell me if you're
gonna be there! and tell me *asap*!!
