Here are rules and procedures for the ATLARGE Blackjack Tournament
(for those in the tournament, I'll include a copy in your envelope).

ATLARGE II Blackjack Tournament

Friday 1:00 PM, March 21st, 1997
Horizon Room (Dining Floor)
Please arrive at least 20 minutes early

The tournament is limited to three tables in the first round. There
are seven positions at each table, so there is a maximum of 21
players. The initial number of players are each table will be evenly
balanced.

The tournament will consist of a qualifying round and a final round.
The two players with top chip positions at each preliminary table will
advance to the final table (in the event of a tie for second, cards
will be drawn to determine who advances).

Each player will received T2500 for the preliminary round. The
minimum bet is T25 and the maximum is T500. In the final round, each
player will start with T5000, and the bet range will be T50-T1000.

The prelimary round will consist of 35 hands, and the final round will
have 42 hands. The number of hands remaining will be made apparent to
all players.
The remaining rules apply to both rounds of play. Violation of the
rules subjects a player to possible disqualification.

1. No collusion.
2. A moving marker will be used to determine who must place their bet
first.
3. There is a ten second limit on making decisions (including betting,
hitting, etc.)
4. A player may play only one hand.
5. Each player must keep their chips on the table, stacked by color so
that stack sizes can be accurately estimated by all players.
6. Eight deck shoes will be used -- all cards dealt face up.
7. Standard hand signals for hit and stand will be used.
8. Standard casino rules will be used on splitting, doubling, etc.
9. The dealer stands on all 17's.
10. Blackjack pays 3 to 2.
11. On a dealer blackjack, only the original wager is lost (double and
split bets are returned).
12. If a problem occurs during play, it must be brought to the
attention of the gaming supervisor immediately. The decision of the
supervisor is final.
